DESCRIPTION

Perma Super Plast – SR is a general purpose plasticizer for concrete. It is a product based upon lignosulfonates.

PRIMARY USES

  • To increase workability.
  • To increase strength and durability.
  • For hot weather concreting.
  • To reduce segregation.
  • To achieve waterproofing efficiency in concrete

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

  • In areas of congested reinforcement where high work-ability is beneficial.
  • In pre-cast concrete manufacture.
  • In concrete brick and block manufacture.
  • For hot weather concreting.

  • Reduces water demand in concrete.

ACTION

Perma Super Plast – SR is a plasticizer which disperses and deflocculates the cement particles within a concrete mix. It can be used to improve workability without the addition of extra water or to allow reductions in free water content of the concrete mix.

DOSAGE

Field trials should be conducted to determine the optimum addition rates of Perma Super Plast – SR. A dosage range of 100 gms to 280 gms per 50 kgs of cement is recommended as an initial starting point.

DIRECTION FOR USE

Perma Super Plast – SR should be added to the concrete mix during the mixing cycle at the same time as the water. Never add Perma Super Plast – SR to dry cement.

PROPERTIES

Typical properties of Perma Super Plast – SR are as follows:

Colour : Dark brown / black liquid
Specific Gravity : 1.10 ± .01
Air Entrainment : 1% maximum dependent on grading of sand and water content
Nitrate Content : Nil

 

COMPOSITION

A liquid admixture based upon refined lignosulfonates.

PACKING

Perma Super Plast – SR is available in 25 kg, 110 kg and 230 kg drum.

SHELF LIFE

Perma Super Plast – SR has a shelf life of 24 months if stored in manufacturers original drums.
